“In November 2025, we celebrated our son turning 5 by attending Shichi-Go-San at Miyazaki Jingu with one of my former students and her two boys. This fulfilled my dream of taking my family back to Miyazaki (my Japan hometown), and fostering new international friendships that are so meaningful in my life."
