Our Photo of the Month for September comes from Anne Hooghart
(Shiga, 1989-1990). Anne (top right in pink) has remained an active bridge between the US and Japan as well as an active member of the JET alumni community.
“Thirty-five years after arriving in Shiga as an ALT, my Japanese-English translator husband, college-student daughters, and I visited friends in my JET furusato, including an English teacher, government official, and the family who let my daughter do a homestay there during her junior year of high school. The strong bonds continue!“
