Career Coaching Collective: The AI Career Advantage
USJETAA is excited to introduce the Career Coaching Collective, a new pilot program for 2026. This initiative creates a structured space for JET alumni to focus on career growth with guidance from coaches who understand the JET experience and will help you translate your skills and experience to your next career- whether you’re entry level, mid-level or established professional.
Each quarter, a JET alum career coach will lead a small cohort through a themed workshop series that offers guidance and a supportive space to focus on the next steps after JET.
For Quarter 1 of 2026, the topic is ‘The AI Career Advantage’, led by Tsehay Wright (Nagano, 2015-2017). This series is designed to take you from "overwhelmed applicant" to "strategic candidate."
The job market has evolved, and your search strategy needs to evolve with it. Most job seekers let AI “write for them,” but that approach leads to content that sounds like everyone else. In this series, you’ll learn a different philosophy: you are the author, and AI is your creative partner. You will learn how to move beyond basic prompts and treat AI as your personal career strategist—helping you articulate your value, not just automate it.
Over the course of three focused sessions, we will cover:
📄 Resume Revolution: Turning duties into data-driven accomplishments.
🔗 LinkedIn Strategy: Optimizing your digital presence for maximum visibility and connection.
🎙️ Interview Mastery: Simulating high-pressure scenarios to build real confidence.

AI for LinkedIn: Elevate Your Profile & Attract the Right Opportunities
Your LinkedIn profile is your 24/7 digital handshake, but keeping it fresh can feel like a full-time job. This session shows you how to use AI to sharpen your LinkedIn presence. From drafting a compelling About section to refining your Headline, optimizing experience bullets, and creating content that signals your value. You’ll learn prompts that help you sound authentic (not robotic), highlight your strengths, and position yourself for the roles you want.
-
AI for Interviews: Practice Smarter, Tell Your Story Better
This session focuses on using AI to refine your behavioral answers using the S.T.A.R. (Situation, Task, Action, Result) Method.
